On 9 April, the seminar of “sending laws, technologies and services" to the corporates, host by the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province and organized by Guangdong Green Supply Chain Association, Guang Dong Association of Environmental Protection Industry and Green Technology Collaborative Innovation Center of Guangdong Province,was successfully held in Kimou (Huizhou) Surface Treatment Recycling Economy Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as “Huizhou Park”). Xu Jinzhou, the director of the Publicity, Education and Technology Division under the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province, led the main leaders of each contractor to attend the meeting, together with Zhang Lianghong, the chairman of the board of Kimou Environmental Group, Chen Xiaobin, the general manager of Huizhou Park and representatives from more than 100 enterprises in the park.

The purpose of this meeting is to study Xi Jinping’s thoughts on ecological civilization and earnestly implement the decisions and deployments of the provincial party committee and the provincial government on ecological environmental protection. Practicing the concept that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets, the enterprises in the park shall strengthen environmental management with guidance and assistance, so as to promote a green, healthy and sustainable development of the park by further improving pollution control technology level and corporate awareness of law-abiding and deepening corporate environmental supervision services.

During the meeting, Xu Jinzhou, the director, emphasized that the purpose of this seminar is to provide everyone with assistance to understand and master the direction of ecological environment technology in a timely manner, and to reduce the difficulties and problems encountered by enterprises in the production process. Through this seminar of “sending laws, technologies and services", it was also expected that the representatives’ environmental protection awareness and the environmental management level of the park could be further improved.

During the meeting, Cai Bin, a senior engineer from the South China Institute of Environmental Sciences of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, and Chen Zhouyang, a teacher from Guangdong Polytechnic of Environmental Protection Engineering, conducted a presentation about analysis of policies and standardized management related to solid waste in the electroplating industry as well as the management requirements of electroplating enterprises' pollution permits, respectively. Their speech covered not only the publicity and implementation of the latest ecological environment laws and regulations, but also initiated new environmental management requirements for enterprises. Most of the participants expressed that they benefited greatly by the two experts' comprehensive and in-depth policy interpretation.

After that, walking into the enterprises in the park, the Department of Ecology and Environment of Guangdong Province and leaders and experts from the associations gave on-site guidance to three companies, namely Uehara Nameplate (Hui Zhou) Co., Ltd, Huizhou Huabo Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. and Huizhou Huitong Technology Co., Ltd.. In the workshops, the experts conducted in-depth exchanges with the persons in charge of the enterprises and provided targeted guidance.
This seminar would be helpful to increase the representatives’ environmental protection awareness, deepen corporate environmental supervision services, improve of the production and technological level of enterprises in the park, and further promote a green, healthy and sustainable development of the electroplating industry in Guangdong Province.
