Winter is the season of high incidence of respiratory infectious diseases. In order to strengthen the understanding on the characteristics of the novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) epidemic in winter as well as the prevention and control measures, and to further improve the regular prevention and control of COVID-19 in the park during winter, Central China Surface Treatment Recycling Economy Industrial Park (the “Jingzhou Industrial Park”) invited Shao Zhiguo, chief physician of Jingzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, to give a speech on the topic "Regular prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia " in the seminar held at the industrial park in the afternoon of 16 December. The seminar was attended by Wei Lintao, general manager of the Jingzhou Industrial Park, and all staffs (about 60 persons).

During the seminar, chief physician Shao Zhiguo introduced the origin of COVID-19, transmission channels, pathological symptoms and differences with other influenza from a professional perspective. He also gave comprehensive explanations on the winter epidemic prevention guidance, health monitoring, key points on the timing of treatment, healthy lifestyle, etc. based on his own working experience with vivid examples and rich contents. All the participants benefit a lot from the seminar.

The training gave all staffs a deeper understanding on the prevention of epidemic in winter and provided an important guidance on the implementation of the prevention and control of epidemic in the park during winter.

Since the outbreak of the epidemic, the park has always attached great importance to epidemic prevention. Epidemic prevention measures have been comprehensively planned and implemented. High degree of alertness has been maintained in areas such as strengthening of staffs’ health management, environment sanitary rectification and disinfection, screening and body temperature monitoring of external personnel, and prevention and control drills, etc. The positive situation of zero epidemics in the park has been continuously consolidated and maintained, ensuring a safe and orderly production and life in the park.
