On May 18, 2023, "Surface Treatment, Green Future - China Surface Engineering Industry Development Conference" organized by China Surface Engineering Association and Meishan Municipal People's Government, and undertaken by Qingshen County People's Government and Kimou Environmental Group Company Limited was successfully held in Qingshen, Sichuan Province.

China's famous economist, the State Council Counselor's Office special researcher Yao Jingyuan, China Machinery Industry Federation Industry Development Department Director Yao Zhiju, China Surface Engineering Association Chairman Ma Jie, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Equipment Industry Development Center Policy Planning Department Liu Shuanghu, China Machinery General Hospital Equipment Manufacturing Industry Development and Research Center Wang Bin, as well as Sichuan Province, Meishan City, Qingshen County, government leaders at all levels, Kimou's Board of Directors and management of its parks attended the conference.

The meeting focused on automotive, electronics, aerospace, equipment manufacturing and other national pillar industries and economic development trends, to carry out intelligent, digital, green surface treatment technology application of thematic discussions. Yao Jingyuan, a famous economist and special researcher of the Counselor's Office of the State Council, was invited to make a thematic report on "Internal and External Challenges and Policy Options of China's Economy". Industry experts, senior scholars and excellent enterprises attended the conference to share the reports on "Application of Surface Treatment in New Energy Vehicles" and "Science and Technology Empowering the Construction of Green and Intelligent Electroplating Enterprise System".

During the meeting, the opening ceremony of Kimou (Southwest-Qingshen) Surface Treatment Circular Economy Industrial Park was held, marking the official opening of the park's new journey of high-quality development.

Kimou (Southwest-Qingshen) Surface Treatment Circular Economy Industrial Park is the fourth surface treatment park invested and constructed by Kimou Environmental Holding Company Limited, which is located in the core area of Sichuan Qingshen Economic Development Zone in Meishan City, Sichuan Province.

The park covers an area of about 750,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 1,000,000 square meters, and a planned wastewater treatment capacity of 20,000 tons per day. After the park is fully completed and put into operation, it is expected to accommodate about 200 surface treatment enterprises in the fields of military, aerospace, aviation, high-speed rail, automobile, electronics, hardware, etc., covering galvanizing, tin-plating, copper-plating, nickel-plating, chromium-plating, cadmium-plating, gold-plating, silver-plating, palladium-plating and other plating types.

The overall planning of the park is divided into four phases of construction, mainly constructing a wastewater treatment center, a resource center, a risk control and emergency command center, an underground comprehensive pipeline corridor, a thermo-power center, a 110kV substation, standard and customized factories, and logistics warehouses, etc. The construction of the first phase will be launched in May 2021, in which the first phase of the wastewater treatment center will be about 33,000 square meters, the underground comprehensive pipeline corridor will be about 2.2 kilometers, and the standard factory will have 10 buildings with an area of about 130,000 square meters. 10 buildings with an area of about 130,000 square meters.

At present, Qing Shen Park has signed plant lease agreements with more than 20 enterprises, and more than 10 enterprises have already started to renovate their plants and are about to start trial production one after another. After the park is completed and put into operation, it can effectively solve the environmental problems of electroplating enterprises in Chengdu-Chongqing area and the insufficient supporting capacity of manufacturing electroplating industry in Sichuan and even southwest China, help the western economic development, form the important support for the development of electronic information industry, automobile manufacturing industry, machinery manufacturing industry and high-end equipment manufacturing industry in southwest China, and become an important support for the development of the southwest China.
